“Coronavirus is a terrible pandemic, and we must all take great care to protect yourselves and our
families and colleagues, especially from microbes which may be able to defeat the human body’s immune system.
A lot of companies are offering antimicrobial wipes, sprays, and gels, but wouldn’t it be marvelous if
highly dangerous microbes were destroyed if they landed on any piece of plastic or rubber so that they don’t get a
chance to infect us?
We at Symphony did not expect an epidemic of this magnitude, but we needed to be prepared.
So, my colleagues and I have been doing research and testing to find a way to deliver this protection.
We are specialists in plastics, and I am glad to say that we have found a way to make plastic articles so that they
are lethal to bacteria and fungi, and we have received approval from the FDA in the USA for our antibacterial
bread-packaging. Because the antimicrobial capability is embedded in the plastic itself, it is much better than wipes
or sprays as it never wears off.
We have now received independent test results according to ISO21702-19, which found a virus reduction of 99.999% in
24 hours against the bovine form of Coronavirus and we have no reason to believe that it will not be effective against COVID-19

The Institute of Biology at Unicamp University in Sao Paolo State, Brazil (“Unicamp”) has test polyolefin films incorporating Symphony’s antimicrobial d2p masterbatches according to:
1 – ISO 21702-2019 (measurement of antiviral activity on plastics and other non-porous surfaces)
2 – EN 14476:2013 + A2:2019 (Chemical Disinfectants and Antiseptics – Quantitative Suspension Test Method for Virucidal Activity in Medical Areas)
3 – Robert Koch Institute’s and Best Laboratory Practices
All tests were conducted with biological quadruplicates (four repetitions)
The contact testing intervals and the antiviral performance were
A: 1 hour, 99.9% reduction
B: 2 hours 99.99% reduction
C: 24 hours 99.999% reduction
